Frequently Asked Questions

Will the treatment hurt?
Most treatments are very well tolerated. You may feel a small scratch or mild pressure, but I always use techniques to keep discomfort to a minimum. Numbing cream or local anaesthetic is available for added comfort if required.

How long will the results last?
It depends on the treatment and your individual response.
-
Anti-wrinkle injections: around 3–4 months
-
Dermal fillers: 6–18 months
-
Lip augmentation: 6–12 months
-
Skin boosters: up to 6 months
-
Polynucleotides: up to 12 months
Results vary depending on lifestyle, metabolism, and the area treated.

Is there any downtime?
Most clients return to daily activities immediately. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, which usually settles within a few days. Aftercare advice is always provided.

Are the results natural?
Yes. My philosophy at Discreet Aesthetics is to enhance—not change—your natural features. Treatments are tailored to your unique facial structure, with subtle, elegant results.

How safe are these treatments?
Safety is always my priority. As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Independent Prescriber, I am trained in advanced anatomy, safe injection techniques, and the prevention and management of complications. I only use products from trusted, accredited suppliers.

When will I see results?
-
Anti-wrinkle injections: results develop over 7–14 days
-
Dermal fillers & lips: results are immediate, with final outcome once any swelling subsides
-
Skin boosters & polynucleotides: results improve gradually over weeks, building with each session

What happens if I don’t like the results?
In most cases, results can be adjusted. With dermal fillers, for example, they can be safely dissolved if required. My goal is always for you to feel comfortable, confident, and happy.

How do I prepare for treatment?
-
Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medication (such as aspirin or ibuprofen) for 24–48 hours beforehand, if possible
-
Arrive with clean skin (no makeup)
-
